Rick says: "A political scientist has the responsibility to research and develop, as much as is humanly possible, what he or she is investigating. He or she cannot be content with just outward appearances and must inquire as to motives and means as well. A political scientist must have an ability to spot the importance of what appears on the surface to be insignificant. Then take those threads of belief and information, and stitch and sew them into the fabric of meaningful knowledge – which is, after all, what makes the hunt worthwhile”.
